Building Materials Konsulate™

Building Materials Konsulate™ are environmentally friendly insulation products and boards made from hemp shives and fibers. They are used for thermal and acoustic insulation of walls, roofs, and floors in residential buildings. Due to high breathability, natural antiseptic properties, and durability, hemp materials ensure a healthy indoor microclimate and prevent mold.

Brittle glasswool fibers close up
Brittle Fiber Shards

Glasswool microfibers break easily, creating sharp glass needles that irritate skin, eyes, and lungs.

Formaldehyde binder close up
Formaldehyde Binders

Synthetic resins based on formaldehyde are used to bond the fibers, releasing toxic chemical off-gassing into your home.

Hazardous installation in rafters
Hazardous Installation

Requires full protective gear (hazmat suits, gloves, goggles, and respirators) to avoid skin irritation and lung hazards.

Moisture and sagging glasswool
Moisture & Sagging

Glasswool easily absorbs water. A mere 2% moisture increase can reduce its thermal efficiency by up to 50%, causing it to sag.

Glasswool dust emission close up
Dust Emission

Glasswool degrades over time, releasing microscopic dust that can penetrate living spaces through wall joints and contaminate indoor air.

Safe rafter installation
Safe Rafter Install

Pure organic hemp is completely safe, allergy-free, and pleasant to touch. Install without any protective suits or respirators.

Polyester fiber matrix structure
Polyester Fiber Matrix

Cleaned hemp fibers are blended with 10-15% bi-component polyester fibers and thermally bonded with hot air at 150°C. This matrix ensures high elasticity and shape stability.

Refined technical hemp fibers
Natural Hemp Properties

Hemp fibers enhance the breathability of the material. This protects your home from rodents and insects while naturally regulating indoor humidity.

Hemp winter and summer thermoregulation
Winter & Summer Climate

Hemp has a high specific heat capacity (1600-2100 J/kg·K). It keeps the house warm in winter and acts as a heat barrier in summer, preventing attic overheating.

Acoustic insulation structure close up
Acoustic Insulation

The porous fibrous matrix structure absorbs up to 95% of sound waves, providing high-quality acoustic comfort and noise isolation.

Production of Konsulate™ Hemp Insulation

The manufacturing process at Sumykamvol LLC is based on modern technological standards. Our high-tech manufacturing line utilizes thermal bonding technology to produce safe insulation materials from natural hemp fibers. Thanks to this technology, we create a product without using formaldehyde resins or other hazardous chemical binders.

The resulting material has excellent thermal insulation and sound-absorbing properties, is resistant to decay and settling, making it a reliable choice for wall, roof, and facade insulation.

Our mission is to create building materials of the future that are energy-efficient and completely safe. Konsulate™ hemp insulation combines traditions of using natural fibers with the modern engineering solutions of our factory.

Technical Performance & Physical Benefits

Sustainable Building Insulation by Konsulate™

Konsulate™ thermal and acoustic insulation materials represent the next generation of eco-friendly building solutions for residential and commercial eco-construction. Made from industrial hemp fibers, our products offer a vapor-permeable, healthy, and high-performance alternative to synthetic insulation.

  • Moisture Regulation

Natural moisture buffer that absorbs and releases indoor humidity without loss of R-value, preventing mold and wood rot.

  • High Thermal Capacity

Effectively regulates indoor temperature by storing heat during winter and blocking summer heat waves.

  • Natural Bio-resistance

Antiseptic qualities of hemp fibers make the insulation resistant to decay, mold, wood-boring insects, and rodents.

  • Safe & Easy Handling

Dust-free and non-toxic, requiring no specialized skin or lung protection during the installation process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Frequently Asked Questions

Hemp insulation is 100% natural and safe, releasing no toxic dust or formaldehydes. It has high vapor permeability ("breathes"), regulates moisture, and is resistant to mold and rodents.

It is used for sound and thermal insulation of floors under laminate, parquet boards, or linoleum. Hemp underlayment absorbs step noise perfectly, smooths out unevenness, and protects the floor from moisture.

Installation is very simple and safe. Unlike mineral wool, hemp mats do not itch and do not require special protective gear for breathing or eyes during installation.
